Collection-Prayer Chapels. 2024/2025
The work we present today invites us on an introspective journey through the internal landscapes of the artist David Saborido. Through a subtle color palette and compositions loaded with symbolism, the author immerses us in a universe where light becomes the guiding thread of a deep spiritual search.
In this exhibition, light is not simply a technical element, but a vehicle to express emotions and sensations. It is the flame that illuminates the soul and connects us with our most intimate self. The artist confesses to us that his work is born from a deep longing to find inner peace, and that it is through painting that he manages to give shape to those silences that he needs to feel complete.
The idea of an “inner light” is a universal concept that has fascinated artists and philosophers throughout history. Since ancient times, light has been associated with divinity, wisdom and enlightenment. In the work before us, this inner light manifests itself as a vital force that transforms the canvas into a space for reflection and meditation.
Through the exhibition space conceived as small “prayer chapels”, the viewer is invited to an intimate dialogue with the work. The areas of light and shadow create a visual tension that immerses us in a state of stillness and contemplation. It is as if, when looking at these works, we find a refuge where we escape from the noise of the outside world and connect with our own essence.
David Saborido’s work reminds us that artistic creation is an act of faith and hope. By sharing his works with us, the author offers us an invaluable gift: the possibility of experiencing a deep connection with ourselves and with the world around us.
