It is one thing to attend a concert of Shakira. Another very different one is to walk by his side as part of his “Loba Pack.” That is playing in another league.
The morning of Friday, June 6, I received a call from the Sony Music Us Latin Press Director. I do not usually answer calls, but it was curious, since it is not common for him to call me.
After a brief “Good morning, how are you?”, He went straight to the point with a question that, sincerely, felt as if he were proposing marriage: “Jess, if I get a place to walk with Shakira in his concert tomorrow, would you go?”
I sigh and, without thinking twice, I replied: “Yes!” When hanging, I smiled. And although I have had a very satisfactory and successful career in Latin music, something in me thought: “My God, I finally did it.”
A few hours before Shakira offered his second concert with tickets exhausted at the Miami Stadium on Saturday, June 7, I received an email entitled “Walk with the wolf” With all the details: arrival time, meeting point, assigned contact and an authorization to be recorded.
Upon reaching Hard Rock StadiumI was surprised to escort me to a VIP box, where they offered us drinks and snacks. Then, around 7:50 pm, they took me to the backstage to meet with the rest of the group that would walk with the artist. Among the “Loba Pack” were the influencer Jessica Judith, Adriana Paniagua (Miss Universe Nicaragua 2018), the presenter Clarissa Molinaa servant representing Billboardand selected journalists from Univision and Telemundo.
About 50 people accompany Shakira at the entrance to the crowded stadium. We jumped, we were euphoric, we collided our hands with the public and captured the moment with our phones. With all the attitude and energy of the world, the “Loba Pack” left Shakira on stage, where he officially started the show with the magnetic and ready for the club, “La Fuerte”.
We enjoy the first song from the halls before going to our seats. Already in mine, I was absolutely amazed with the two -hour show: Shakira interpreted his great successes, his classics, he received surprise guests as Manuel Turizo, Alejandro Sanz and Bizarrapand, above all, he hypnotized the public with those hips that literally do not lie.
Shakira is, without a doubt, Shakira. But now, as certified “wolf” (and thanks to this unforgettable experience), I have no doubt what the number one position occupies in the list of Billboard of “the best Latin pop artists of all time.”
