Reaffirming his status as one of the most beloved and innovative artists of pop, Katy Perry had a triumphal return to the North Sultana presenting his new show in the Monterrey Arena, as part of the “The Lifetime Tour”.
The enclosure had already seen her shine in 2014, with her “The Prismatic World Tour”, and in 2018 with the “Witness: The Tour”, however, what he presented on Monday night, before 15 thousand people, surpassed by far his previous shows, because it was a futuristic experience, in which art and creativity merged perfectly.
The show began shortly after 10:00 p.m., with a cinematographic atmosphere, where the screens showed scenes from a dystopian world in which a superheroine, played by Perry, rises to save humanity.
At a spectacular moment, the singer emerged from the center of the stage from a capsule, starting her show with the first artificial chords, which unleashed a deafening ovation among those present.
Throughout the concert, Katy took his followers on a musical journey full of energy, divided into five thematic stages or acts, because “The Lifetime Tour” not only highlighted his great successes, but also incorporated narrative elements that made each song tell a unique story, a review of the most iconic eras of the artist.
With songs such as Dark Horse, Roar, California Gurls and Firework, Katy managed to touch the heart of his audience, causing everyone to feel part of the show.
One of the memorable moments of the night was when Katy dedicated a few words to his Katy Cats, as the interpreter’s fans are known, causing great enthusiasm and emotion among the attendees.
“Monterrey, you’re fine …” First of all, welcome to The Lifetime Tour! … This is the perfect scenario for this sand, I feel that I can see them all very close … “he said.
The production, which included a dazzling scenario in the form of eight or the infinity symbol, with mega screens, impressive structures, robotic lights and great visual technology, enhanced the structured galactic locker room that Perry showed while sanging, danced and “flewing”, the latter being a recurring element in the show, which allowed him to be close to the public in an unusual way.
After almost two hours of show, in which he tributes his trajectory and artistic legacy, endorsing his pop icon status, Katy ended the first of the two concerts he will offer in M. onterrey, achieving with his charisma and talent to conquer the heart of the royals.
