A party into the unknown
When her parents die and she feels suffocated by her brother’s tutoring, Manuela Duarte travels to San Sebastian to spend the summer accompanied by Pedrito Ortiz, her best childhood friend and a very well-connected guy in the city. Thanks to that, they receive an invitation to a party at the great mansion. Villa Allurabandoned since its owner went bankrupt and took his life before even opening it.
The house now belongs to a French duke, Julien Leroy-Benoitwhom he does not yet know, who celebrates a housewarming party. An event that is the biggest social event of the summer in the city, which Manuela is not willing to miss. However, she does not know that that party will change your life forever.

Villa Allur is so extensive that it seems there are even higher forces. At the party, something leads Manuela out of the dance room and she automatically and bluntly opens a wooden door. There, a small office opens towards her full of books with a painting in the backgroundhanging on the wall. The last painting Ava painted and it hung in the room they both shared in Florence, it was in front of her like a revelation.
That hypnotic drawing, in which it is not known if the woman in white is thrown into the sea or emerges from itdies or is resurrected, takes her to a time when, as a teenager, she was sent to study in Florence, in the late 30s. There he met Ava, an independent girl who has been expelled from several high schools.
Manuela sees in her companion a look full of sparks, like she had never seen in a woman’s eyes. Being the only ones who speak Spanish unites them and soon Manuela witnesses the dark nightmares who accompany Ava at night. After a year together, Ava will disappear overnightas if it had never existed.
Finding Ava
After several sleepless nights, a suicide after the party and the unexpected friendship she establishes with a bookseller from San Sebastián, Manuela’s mind begins to remember Ava and the need to find it becomes an obligation.
Thanks to the help of her friend Pedro, Manuela approaches Ava’s family, who still keeps a box with belongings of the missing girl. A discovery that reassures Manuela since, at times, she had come to think that perhaps Ava had never existed.
