The renowned Venezuelan animator Leonardo Villalobos lived an unexpected encounter with Colombian singer Shakira in a restaurant in Miami.
Through his Tak Tok account, in “The Podcast de Rocío”, the animator took a few minutes to remember the emotional anecdote that remained after meeting Shakira, while talking about his beginnings in the “Sensational Saturday” program.
How was the meeting?
According to Leonardo Villalobos, between 2010 or 2011, when he was just beginning to be part of the “Sensational Saturday” program, he was in a Miami restaurant with a friend.
Shakira got off a luxurious convertible Mercedes Black and entered the same restaurant to have coffee.
The friend who accompanied Villalobos did not endure the presence of “the blonde” and “ran” to express that he was also a composer and singer.
“The girl already began to say ‘what annoyance’, another one,” Leonardo recalled.
He immediately presented him, explaining to the singer that he encouraged a program in Venezuela called “Sensational Saturday.”
How was Shakira’s reaction?
In the presenter’s words, Shakira, hearing “sensational Saturday,” released his coffee cup and lifted his face with astonishment to ask him for his colleagues.
“I owe my career to that program,” Shakira told Villalobos.
For that time of “sensational Saturday”, Shakira waited with his guitar his turn “to give him a chance to sing.”
