“In another life I would like to be Beyoncé”

In private with

Daniel Grao submits to ‘in private with …’: a character and five questions at close range without giving them the opportunity to think beyond two or three seconds of courtesy.

Daniel Grao (Sabadell, 1976) is getting to conquer the place he deserves in his profession with a single tool: talent. Paper that plays, paper that convinces. And it is very good in a category that would be made to measure: the bad one with whom you empathize unintentionally, as in Iron hand, Giants either Without identityand the good apparent with his murky side, as in Hit, Angela either The footprint of evil. It has just released The Wolf’s story And after the series 39they will soon see the light Coolie and The collector. Daniel goes like a rocket.

Eternal dream pictures

Daniel Grao in five questions

If you had a second life, what would you change or what would you do?

I would love to be a pop diva.

Lady Gaga, Madonna or Beyoncé?

Already put, Beyoncé (laughs).

If you could have a dinner with anyone, alive or dead, who would be and what would you ask?

I don’t know why I have always had a feeling as if I had met Leonardo DiCaprio. He is completely contemporary but I feel like a strange proximity to him.

What is the weirdest habit you have and that you think anyone else shares?

I am claustrophobic, I do not rise in elevators or I am never in subway. And with the elevators I have made animated: ‘The presentation is on the 20th floor of the building’. Well, walking. In short, it is a phobia. I have ever dared in very modern hotels, but from the blackout and that or that (laughs).

And how do you overcome travel by plane?

With airplanes it is a mental game: I turn to that there is an emergency door that can be opened. And it has to do with outside and inside. I know it can be opened – and, logically, also that of doing so, everything would be worse – but with it the phobia calms down. Not that I go completely quiet, but I can travel.

What is your platonic love?

Scarlett Johansson in the movie directed by Sofia Coppola, Lost in translation.

What is the weird thing you carry in the wallet or pocket?

An amulet, a dollar ticket made already dust. From the first time I went to New York, as if to be lucky and I don’t miss money.
