Jennifer López and director Robert Zemeckis will collaborate in an adaptation of ‘The Last Mrs. Parrish’ for Netflix, Deadline reported.
According to sources consulted by the specialized environment, Zemeckis will direct the version of Liv Constantine’s novel, while the singer will star in the film.
The tape, currently in development, follows the story of a scammer, played by López, who plans to infiltrate Parrish’s accommodated marriage with the aim of seducing the husband and occupying the wife’s place as the new Mrs. Parrish, without knowing that the life of the current wife is much darker and more complex than he never imagined.
The script will be in charge of Andrea Berloff and John Gatins, the latter Oscar nominated for ‘Flight’, also directed by Zemeckis.
López and Netflix have maintained a solid collaboration in recent years with films such as ‘The Mother’ (2023) or ‘Atlas’ (2024).
