Everything points to what Jennifer López is very comfortable with Netflix. Its producer, Nuyorican Productionshas allied with the platform for a couple of films in recent years, which have in common their commitment to uncomplexed action and polishing López’s stardom … as well as rather mediocre criticisms. At least Atlas either The mother They have preceded in time a project certainly risky for López, which he presented recently in the Sunday festival and obtained distribution at the hands of Lionsgate.
Spider -woman kiss It is a musical adaptation of the play whose previous jump to the cinema, in 1985, gave him the Oscar to William Hurt. López stars in this new film with a view to release it throughout this year, and in the meantime he has returned to Netflix for another project without much to do with previous action films. His distinction comes because he adapts a very acclaimed book of Liv Constantine (was best-seller shortly after being published in 2017) whose title is The Last Mrs. Parrishand his argument powerfully remembers Mr. Ripley’s talent.
In The Last Mrs. Parrish López then plays Amber, a scammer who passes through Daphne’s friend, a woman from the high society she seduces to take her wealth and even conquer her husband. The argument is quite attractive but the best is the one who directs: nothing less than Robert Zemeckisa living Hollywood legend that despite having left behind its best years continues to premiere every so often very interesting projects. Case of the last, without going any further: Zemeckis premiered Here At the end of last year, an experimental adaptation of the homonymous comic of Richard Maguire.
So Zemeckis will direct The Last Mrs. Parrishhaving confirmed as a screenwriters to Andrea Berloff and John Gattins. There is still no premiere date in Netflix.
