“Bringing a little shine to F1,” Bachik wrote in the photo foot. For the look, Bachik used its tweezerman x tom bachik ultimate nail care set to prepare and clean the nails before applying the gel color nails color in Fairy Wings covered with Pink Clouds. The result? Ethereal fairy nails to match the Y2K of López. To complete his set, López wore pink plastic sunglasses, a combed back, bright pink cheeks and lips.
Pastel tones have been one of the most important nail trends of the season so far, with models such as López, Meghan Markle and Selena Gómez. “We are inclined to light and soft tones such as lavender, mint, peach and baby blue, which are great and give a casual air,” says the famous nail artist Elle Gerstein. Even better news for Nail Art lovers: “Pastel tones are also ideal for some of the fashion designs in spring, such as florals and French manicure,” he says.
To get that clean aspect, Gerstein says that everything depends on the preparation of the nails. “Start by rubbing the nails with an antibacterial soap; think it’s like washing your face,” he explains. “Let the nails dry and then use isopropyl alcohol (from 75%) to clean them. This will act as an astringent and take the nail to the proper pH level, while eliminating the dust and the remains of the nail.”
