Although Colombians have shown that there is no enmity among them with different gestures, this time The Paisa will reveal the moments before the recording and production of the song and the music video with which both revolutionized the world.
What does Karol G say about Shakira in his documentary?
The production shows the moments in which Karol G composed ‘TQG’ in the studio and decides to send the song to Shakira as a proposal for its collaboration. The Paisa opens with her audience not only about the feelings that caused her to collaborate with the Barranquillera, but also about the deep conversations they shared and the way they managed to connect through their experiences.
First Karol sang parts of the song to his sister Jessica Giraldo, who gave her approval to the subject to be sent to Shakira. “He will love it,” he said. For its part, in the documentary you can see when Karol G takes the phone and writes to Shakira: “Call me when you can”. This is a story of which we already know its end, that call occurred and a musical theme was born that united two Colombian superstars and that, currently, exceeds one billion views.
“I had the opportunity to talk to her and he entrusted me with very personal things that made everything make more sense to me and said: ‘This is the song'”said Karol G in this regard, detailing that the lyrics of his song together, effectively, was born from the personal experiences of both artists. “And so ‘TQG’ was born,” he added.
Changes in the letter of ‘TQG’
In the recording you can also hear some of the first versions of the song, which were made some settings in the lyrics. For example, you can hear that one of the phrases that Shakira sings before said “what we lived forgot to me and that is what has screwed you”, which was then changed to “offended.”
Listening to the first voice recordings that Shakira sent for the song, Karol G confessed that “in the car I listened to it and I almost cried. The voices of this, really, were very chimbas. “In the documentary the emotion that Paisa felt could collaborate with Shakira and have, exclusively, a great musical theme recorded just before throwing. The expectations were tremendous and the Colombians surpassed her all.
In the same way, in ‘Tomorrow it was very nice’ unpublished images of the recordings of the music video of ‘TQG’ are revealed. Shakira and Karol G are shown together and reveal how its recording process was, in which both surprised with their dance steps, iconic outfits and original scenery. “We are recording in Barcelona, it’s 3:30 in the morning of the second day of recording,” said the country in one of the recordings and in the end embraces Shakira and says: “You don’t know what this means for me.
