Katy Perry dedicates a message for cancellation of concerts in Jalisco

Mexico City, April 21 (El Universal) .- The illusions of the thousands of Katy Perry fans who prepared to see the singer in Guadalajara collapsed this afternoon, when it was announced that the concerts he would give next week in the city were canceled.

The news was released through an official statement that Zignia Live, promoter of the events, explained that the decision was made because the enclosure in which the Guadalajara sand would be held, has not completed its construction.

Minutes later and given the disappointment of his fans, it was Katy herself who reacted and dedicated a message to her followers.

Through an Instagram story, the “Firework” performer lamented what happened and demarcated all responsibility.

“Sadly, I learned that the construction of Arena Guadalajara will not be ready for scheduled shows next week, which includes mine,” Katy began.

Katy explained that before the cancellation she sent her work team to make sure the real state of the enclosure and verify that there was nothing to do for the shows.

“Last week I sent my team to make sure there was nothing we could do, but it was evident that the place was not ready or safe to receive my show or the public. I hope I could solve this, but it is out of my control,” he added.

Finally, he reaffirmed his commitment to his Mexican fans and made them the promise that they will soon be able to meet again:

“You mean the world for me and we have been on such a beautiful trip together that I will be thinking about how I can create something special for fans in Guadalajara in the future. I love you all,” he concluded.

Despite what happened in Guadalajara, the concerts of Monterrey and Mexico City are still standing. Perry’s tour of our country will begin this April 23 at the CDMX sand.
