On April 14, the pop star was part of a female team that also included the presenter of “CBS Mornings” Gayle King and the journalist and philantral Lauren Sánchez, who made an eight -minute trip to the space through the technology company founded by Jeff Bezos.
Perry’s posterior speech was that he needed the trip to inspire more women and especially girls in scientific and spatial careers. But the Internet did not understand it that way.
Although Perry did not refer directly to the flight, he responded to the general hatred online in a long comment under a publication of the fan page Katy Perry Brazil.
