Katy Perry starts The Lifeses Tour at the heights of Mexico City | Entertainment

MEXICO CITY (AP) – If you go to a concert of The Lifetime Tour by Katy Perry you must look up, above. The pop star flies on multiple occasions during its show and each is more amazing than the other.

Perry added to 2,500 meters high from Mexico City several more meters to begin suspended the first date of its international tour. He also flaunted his strength when turning in the head, to give mortals while traveling the length of the CDMX sand by the air and fly mounted on a giant butterfly that fluttered by enchanting the nearly 20,000 attendees who gathered on Wednesday night.

“The power of your thoughts is incredible because everything starts with a thought. I had this thought, ‘I want to go on tour.

Many of the fans were dressed in costumes that refer to the different musical videos, albums and important stages in Perry’s life. There was a shark from his emblematic concert of the Super Bowl, many caramels of “California Gurls”, some “Hot N Cold” girlfriends and astronauts from his recent trip to the space of Blue Origin’s NS-31 mission Flynn and Lauren Sánchez.

In his Perry concert he noticed two boys in the front row next to the catwalk in the form of infinity of their stage that carried blue costumes like those of the mission and invited them to climb to sing with her “The One That Got Away”.

These space references were very consistent with the futuristic narrative of the Perry concert that presents it in a kind of video game in which you have to find love and fight a villain who has imprisoned thousands of butterflies.

The moment of Perry’s great battle against the evil was another of the most prominent in terms of his choreographies, with an armor costumes and a kind of robotic glove that he carried in his left hand and with which he triggered pyrotechnics.

The 40 -year -old artist has described her tour as a “Disneyland on wheels” and mentioned films such as “Blade Runner” and “The Fifth Element” (“The Fifth Element”) as visual and thematic inspirations, as well as the transcendental meditation, which he alluded to in a section in which he carried a white bikini and floated between fungi and giant flowers while singing topics as he sang theme “Nirvana” and “Wide Awake”.

“It really is about believing yourself and leading with love. Those are always my messages, no matter how to wrap it or any tour it brings. It’s love and empowerment,” he told AP. “When I can lead with the example, it simply spreads.”

The public was amazed with the presentation and for reuniting with Perry, who had visited Mexico for the last occasion in 2018, so the screams of “Katy, sister, are already Mexican!”, As they usually sing when they receive their favorite artists. Perry asked what that meant and after receiving the explanation of one of the fans said that she could be her “fun aunt”, saying “aunt” in Spanish.

Later, when he sang “All The Love”, a song that he dedicates to his daughter Daisy Dove, product of his relationship with actor Orlando Bloom, joked saying that he had named him his two favorite drinks, alluding to Mexican cocktails with Tequila Margarita (Daisy) and Paloma (Dove).

“It is my favorite song of ‘143’ because it encapsulates the feeling I went through,” he said in a more serious tone about becoming a mother.

Perry will present two other concerts at the CDMX Arena this weekend and will continue its tour of Monterrey before continuing for Houston, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, Dallas, San Francisco and New York, among other cities.

His concerts in Guadalajara, Mexico, scheduled for May 2 and 3 at the Guadalajara Arena, were canceled because the enclosure, which is under construction, could not be finished on time. It has not been announced when they would be reprogrammed.
