Kim Kardashian plans to testify this Tuesday in a trial in Paris against thieves accused of tie and steal the multimillionaire star of reality shows almost nine years ago.
Its terrible experience is expected to detail during the incident in the 2016 Paris Fashion Week, where almost US $ 10 million in cash and jewels were stolen, including a compromise ring of US $ 4 million that was never recovered.
It will be the first time that Kardashian faces the alleged thieves in the courts.
The defendants, nine men and a woman between 30 and 70, face positions that include armed hand, kidnapping and conspiracy. Eight of them deny their participation, while two have admitted minor crimes.
Several of them are repeat offenders and much of the beginning of the trial focuses on their past criminal careers.
The trial began on April 28 in a court crowded in the French capital.
The court listened last Thursday to the testimony of Kardashian bodyguards, as well as his driver that night, who claimed not to remember the facts, despite having allegedly found the receptionist of the tied building when he arrived, according to BFMTV, Affiliate of CNN.
The bodyguard, identified only as Pascal D., said he found Kardashian “crying hysterically” upon arrival.
Nicknamed the “grandparents thieves”, of the 12 original suspects, one died and another defendant, with Alzheimer, was declared not suitable to be judged. If they are declared guilty, some of the remaining defendants could face up to 30 years in prison.
The trial has been delayed for years, in part, due to important cases such as those related to the terrorist attacks of Paris of 2015.
The trial is expected to continue until May 22 and the verdict is expected to be known on May 23.
