Live Action of the Bratz and Kim Kardashian is confirmed will be a producer

The most irreverent dolls of the 2000 are back. Amazon MGM Studios has just confirmed that he is developing a new real action film by the Bratz, and the big surprise is that Kim Kardashian will not only be one of the project producers, but also contemplates the possibility of acting in it.

The information was revealed by The Wrap, which also assured that Kardashian is considering interpreting one of the villains of history.

The tape has the support of Amazon MGM Studios and the participation of MGA Entertainment – company creator of the dolls – and Pictturastart, a production company that has been behind youth titles such as Bodies Bodies Bodies and Unpregnant Bodies. Isaac Larian, founder and CEO of MGA, appears as executive producer.

The script is in charge of Charlie Pleyer and Lucy Mckendrick, known for their work in The Plague. For now, the synopsis is maintained under total reserve, but from the study they ensure that this new installment will offer a fresh, current and most ambitious vision of the Bratz universe.

This is not the first time that popular dolls reach the big screen. In 2007, Lionsgate released Bratz: the film, an adaptation Live Action that was harshly criticized and failed at the box office. Starring Logan Browning, Janel Parrish, Nathalia Ramos, Skyler Shaye and Chelsea Staub, the film was accused of superficial and with a little convincing script, being well below the expectations of fans.

Now, with the media figure of Kim Kardashian in front, the new project seeks to claim the image of the brand and connect with a new generation.

Kardashian has been expanding his professional profile with roles in series such as American Horror Story: delicate and upcoming premieres such as Netflix comedy The Fifth Wheel, in which he will be the protagonist, and the legal drama All’s Fair, by Ryan Murphy.

Since its launch in 2001, the Bratz consolidated as one of the most popular doll lines in the market, characterized by their urban style, prominent lips and a challenging attitude that broke with the stereotypes of traditional dolls. According to data shared by Amazon MGM, the franchise has sold more than 200 million units worldwide and maintains the greatest interaction in social networks among all toy brands.
