Los Riojas losses, a movie mystery

The sequel to the Goya Gala can give for another film, the search for lost Rioja bottles. Lost or stolen. The next pages of the script will be resolved, or leave it as an open end of those that leave the viewer wanting more. Two commemorative bottles of the centenary of the denomination, signed by some of the great figures of Spanish cinema, were going to become an element of exposure. But it was seen and not seen. Collected the Goya, the Riojas were not.

The national cinema provided our wine last Saturday in Los Goya, an event in which the denomination Lucía as the main sponsor and with its own space through which some of the great figures of the gala passed. There, two large bottles of Rioja wore golden ornaments for the occasion and with elements that alluded to the commemoration of the centenary of La Doc, such as the Foundation date: 1925.

Carolina Yuste (winner of the Goya for Best Actress), Cayetana Guillén-Cuervo, Alejandro Amenábar, Manu Barreiro, Macarena García, Belén Rueda, Hiba Abouk …. Many were the ones who left their signature in those two unique bottles, of which There is no other copy, much less with the added value contributed by the figures of our cinema.

The intention was to exhibit them during the Centenary Year of the Denomination of Origin, to subsequently auction one of them for beneficial purposes. But, once the event is over, when performing inventory, the bottles were not. From the Regulatory Council they trust that they are simply lost, although the hypothesis that someone could have stolen the precious prize is also on the table.

Everything in the ‘stand’ of Rioja appeared, less the bottles. The security cameras of the Palacio de Congresos de Granada could throw new indications to this film research. Meanwhile, the Regulatory Council appeals to citizen collaboration: “Please, if anyone knows their whereabouts or has information, we appreciate any clue.”
