Miley Cyrus is sincere about her father, the country’s superstar Billy Ray Cyrus.

In a new interview with the New York Times Times, Miley spoke long and lying about Billy, the current state of his relationship, how he fought when he and his mother Tish Cyrus divorced, and much more.

During a part of the intimate interview, Miley’s sobriety came out.

She has talked openly about her decision to refrain from drugs and alcohol, but earlier this year, her famous brother, the musician Trace Cyrus, who is also sober, suggested that Billy may not be making the same decision.

When asked if he had ever talked to his father about his own experience with sobriety, he said: “I think it costs him more to enjoy sobriety. I enjoy it. I think my father is someone who says: ‘That would be very good right now.’ He calls him a good habit. Things that make you feel good, but you know they are bad.”

He continued: “So I think for him, I grew up in a different generation. My father grew between the 60s and 80s. It was not normal for you to have your psychiatrist in rapid marking. So I think my father did not have the necessary support.”

Miley said they do not “avoid” the issue, “but in reality it is not something that is talk to our table.”

“My father is already like to talk about music and movies,” he explained. “It’s not something we have ever focused on, but it should probably be. We should probably talk about it at some point.”

When asked if he felt “guilty,” he said that therapy has helped him get rid of “my guilt and my shame.”

He recently admitted to having “problems” with Billy over the years, but told New York Times that they are no longer distanced.

He continued: “But now that my mother is so in love with my stepfather, whom I completely adore, and now that my father I also see her happiness, I can love both of them as individuals and not as a couple of parents. I am being an adult about it.”

Miley said it was “hard” at first, “because the little boy in you reacts before the adult in you can say: ‘Yes, that is your father, but it is just another person who deserves to be in his joy and be happy.'”

He added: “My childhood has updated.”
