New York, Jun 7 (EFE) .- Miley Cyrus has presented on Friday night at the New York Tribeca Festival its experimental pop opera, ‘Something Beautiful’, in which the aesthetics and musicality of its new album of the same name explores at the same time as “redefine beauty.”
“The beautiful word (‘Beautiful’) is so individual and is so unique. For each of us the beautiful can be so different. It could be a memory, it could be a person, it could be an object, it could be a gift, it could be anything,” said the artist in the colloquium after the projection of the documentary, which took place in the Beacon Theater in New York
The singer entered the theater like a movie star with a mesh dress full of golden glitters and a kind of shelter with fringes, accompanied by her boyfriend Maxx Morando and her mother Tish Cyrus. During the documentary, Cyrus was proud, enjoying and dancing the songs from his seat.
His fans completely filled the room and left his voice and his hands shouting and applauding it repeatedly. On one occasion, one begged him to sing ‘The Climb’, to which Cyrus agreed and sang the first verses of one of his most iconic songs.

One of the themes that composes the album is ‘Reborn’ (Renace) and that is what the star seems to do in this film, in which music is the protagonist.
“I think there is nothing more beautiful on the planet than a deep emotion. It is an expression of my entire career. I have always wanted to share the best and the worst with you,” reflected the singer addressing her fans.
The artist presents this documentary that she drinks from her ninth studio album -which premiered on May 30-, but it is an even more complete work in which he has opted for the experimentation “full of fantasy”, both musical and aesthetics, through the thirteen songs that form it.
Each one, which has its own presentation, deals with different issues from healing and transformation to the search for beauty in the dark, with dances and movements in which its sexuality explores.
For example, there are ballads like ‘more to lise’; Simply pop songs, such as ‘Easy Lover’; Others more disc, such as ‘Walk of Fame’, or the two interludes, of pure psychedelia and without any font.
Great references
Although the singer said that it is a unique piece and something that “nobody has ever done before,” he acknowledged that thanks to some of her idols, such as Tina Turner, Donna Summer or Diana Ross, she has been able to undertake her own path.
“This is my trip, but they have made it much easier because they have already knocked me all the doors,” he said.
The artist was also inspired by Pink Floyd’s surrealist film, ‘The Wall’ (1982), although according to her, with “a better costume.”
In addition, it has a renowned collaboration and “written in the stars”, according to the singer, with the Naomi Campbell supermodel, which appears in the video of ‘Event Girl You’ve Ever Loved’, reminiscent of Madonna’s ‘Vogue’.
A high -level wardrobe
The pop diva recognized on more than one occasion that the movie’s costume has taken much of the budget. With costumes assigned by the file of the French designer Thierry Mugler -fallecido in 2022- and designs made for her by Casey Cadwalader, creative director of the firm until last March, the singer fuses music, fashion and cinema.
According to Cyrus, “fashion is a tool and can be used to transmit stories.”
“I have always wanted to use it in a way that supports the music, which does not become the pillar of all this foundation,” he added and indicated that he seeks to transmits stability against passing trends.
In the tape, the singer looks designs from other great fashion names, such as Jean Paul Gaultier or Alexander McQueen, with rhinestones, volume and, sometimes, dark and aesthetic leather ‘punk’.
Cyrus has produced and co -directed this work (along with Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter), in which he has also participated in the battery or acting next to the singer.
