Subject Beautifulwith 13 tracks, it is a visual album that seeks issues of healing, trauma, beauty and destruction. Cyrus describes it as an attempt to “medicate a sick culture through music”, inspired by The Wall of Pink Floydbut with a “more glamorous and full of pop culture.”
The singer collaborated with her boyfriend Maxx dwellingwho co -written and produced several clues, including the title theme, and with the horror film director Cosmatical painswho contributed a surreal touch.
The cover, photographed by Glen Luchfordshows Cyrus wrapped in lights and darkness, symbolizing the duality of beauty. The visual film, which will premiere on June 6 in the Tribeca Festivalis described as a “unique experience driven by fantasy” and a “pop opera.”
