“Let’s shout until we are left without a voice!”
This was declared by two fans of jeans even before Beyoncé took the stage to start the first concert of his Cowboy Carter Tour tour last night (April 28). Multiply those two shouts for the thousands of other screams, applause and dances inside the Sofi Stadium in Inglewood, California, during the almost three -hour show of the winner of 35 Grammy Awards, and thus “fun,” “Incredible” and “memorable” – as the fans described later – it was the opening night.
The screams began at 8:02 pm, when the lights went out and the image of the flag was projected on the huge screen to the background (remembering the setting of the stage at the stop of the last tour of Beyoncé, Renaissance, in the Sofi two years ago). Bordering the catwalk to the front, which extended to the center of the enclosure, there were hundreds of fans in foot areas moving to claim the best space to enjoy the show.
There was no opening act. But as the clock marked 8:14 pm, the screams and exclamations of the audience reached its maximum point when they saw dancers entering on both sides of the stage. Then, the band began to play the first notes of “American Requiem,” the opening song of Cowboy Carter. Seconds later, Beyoncé appeared, glowing with a completely white outfit, from his cowboy hat and his tight body to a jacket with fringes and matching boots. With his blond and long hair waving, Beyoncé and his dancers – killing white boots above the knee – guided the public in a fervent collective song. The show had begun.
It was a night full of powerful vocal interpretations, hypnotizing images and scenographies (golden cows, several versions of the flag with its red, white and blue motif, a red convertible cadillac, a neon sign representing its line of Cécred hair care as part of the decoration in one of the performances), as well as issues of empowerment, love for the family and surprises that made the public exclaim My God!”.
In addition to the opening with “American Requiem”, here some of the highlights of the night.

A surprise of the past
For the first of several surprises that were revealed throughout the show, Beyoncé deviated from the list of songs of Cowboy Carter With a brief version of “The Star-Spangled Banner”, the American national anthem. Blue and Rumi shine
From there, Beyoncé continued to give life to Cowboy Carter With colorful and dynamic versions of songs such as “Spaghettii” (which includes the pioneer of the country cute Martell and Shaboozey on the album), “Aligator Tears”, “Just for Fun”, “Flamenco”, “Jolene” (sitting in a giant horseshoe), “Riiverdance”, “II Most Wanted” and “Levii ‘ Jeans ”.
But one of the most memorable and beautiful moments occurred when Beyoncé interpreted “protector” and revealed that his youngest daughter, Rumi, was by his side. And it was noted that the seven -year -old little girl, with a smile from ear to ear, enjoyed being on stage and listening to the public to cheer and applaud.
At the end of the song, the proud mother Beyoncé stayed a moment with her daughters Blue and Rumi, creating a realistic and moving portrait. Remembering Frankie
At another time that delighted the public, Beyoncé and his team were formed in a dance line for its version of Maze with “Before I let Go” by Frankie Beverly. It was like a giant barbecue in the garden, since Sofi’s audience stood up to dance and sing, while watching a black and white video clip of the late Beverly singing the song. Adding a touch of Déjà Vu to the concert, Beyoncé integrated other outstanding themes of his career, such as “Bills, Bills, Bills” by Destiny’s Child and his own songs “Crazy in Love”, “Daddy Lessons”, “Cuff It”, “Thique” and “Alien Superstar”.

Say “Amen”
Of course, the concert could not end without Bey interpreting the first two singles that introduced the tribute of Cowboy Carter to the Houstonian and southern roots of the singer -songwriter: “Texas Hold ‘EM” and the biographical “16 Carriages” (sitting inside the aforementioned red convertible). Before this, the giant screen showed homemade videos with his sister Solange, her first days with Destiny’s Child, the revelations of her pregnancy and clips/photos of her children when they were babies, key moments of her career as the hug that she and Diana Ross gave themselves at the stop of the Renaissance World Tour in Los Angeles last year, before finishing with a rain of photos that showed the variety of photos. Bey looks and her continuous evolution over the years.
With a vaporous long skirt dress and flag design, she rightly closed her show of eight acts with “Amen”, the last song of Cowboy Carter. “Thank you all,” Beyoncé said standing in front of a replica of the upper part of the statue of freedom. “This is the first show and shared it with me. I feel very overwhelmed. God bless you!”
