Shakira has remained unstoppable since his world tour began women no longer cry in Brazil in February. Now, due to the overwhelming demand, the Colombian superstar has added two more dates to the American stage of the Tour, which is scheduled to begin on May 13 in North Carolina.
Marking two second dates in stages of the New York and Miami area, the new concerts are scheduled for Friday, May 16 at the Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and on Saturday, June 7 at the Hard Rock Stadium, respectively.
The news comes after the successful step of the singer of “Hips Don’t Lie” in Latin America, where he made history by becoming the first female artist with seven shows exhausted at the GNP Seguros stadium (previously Foro Sol) in Mexico City. Now share the record of seven dates in the coveted enclosure with a firm Group, which is scheduled for an eighth presentation on the place on June 28. But Shakira will return in the summer for a second round of presentations in the country, including four at the stadium (formerly known as Forum Sol) for a total of 11.
Appointed by Billboard As No. 1 among the 50 best Latin pop artists of all time, Shakira also headed the monthly list Top Tours of Billboardraising $ 32.9 million with the sale of 282,000 tickets in February, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore. It follows Bad Bunny, the Bukis and RBD among the Latin artists who have led the monthly ranking, becoming the first Latin solo woman to reach No. 1.
Tickets for new stadiums in New York and Miami will go on sale at 10 am, local time, April 7 through Livenation.com.
