With the aim of raising awareness about environmental protection, activists and citizens usually meet on this day to celebrate what makes our planet unique and to call humanity to fight for its preservation.

Artists such as Maná have been impregnating this vital message in their music for a long time, being the group one of the most committed to the environment. In fact, the Mexican rock band inaugurated its Black Selva Foundation in 1995, addressing issues such as deforestation and rescue of in danger of extinction.
