An act of violence shook the Guido neighborhood last night, following the complaint of a young man who claimed to have been attacked by two neighbors in the area. The incident took place near stair 26, just as the young man was walking from work to his apartment, located on stair 35.

The victim, a sales employee in a minimarket on Stair 26, stated in the complaint filed with the 30th Police Station that he was abruptly intercepted by a man and a woman while walking along Harostegui Street. Without warning, the alleged attackers hit him with a gas pipe on his left hand, a cowardly act that left him surprised and in pain.
In the midst of the attack, and sensing the imminent danger, the young man decided to run to get away from his attackers, who, far from giving up, continued insulting him. Fear took over the young man, who wanted to save his integrity by moving away from the scene as quickly as possible.
The tensions with the attackers, according to the young man’s statements, are not new, in fact he denounced that this problem has its origin in continuous annoyance and harassment from neighbors towards the business where the owner already works. He also recalled that “they are bothering me and the owner of the business, but we do not know the reasons behind their attitude.”
In addition, the young man commented that his boss is also tired of the repeated acts of provocation and insults that the couple carries out when they pass in front of the minimarket. However, the motives behind these actions remain a mystery, and both victims are crying out for a solution to this situation that only tends to get worse.
