Mystery solved. The organizers of the ‘Big Fucking Party’, supported by some members of the rave movement in the province of Ciudad Real, participated in the cleaning of the 50 tons of garbage collected in bags that remained on the grounds of the Ciudad Real airport.
Sources consulted by La Tribuna pointed out that this cleanup, attended by volunteers with vans in the area, loaded the bags and other remains last week. On several trips they reduced the piles that remained in the airport area until there was no trash left.
Since the party ended, on January 7, the piles of waste were an element of complaint by the administrations and owners of the airport. The City Council of Ciudad Real asked the organizers to clean it, budgets were presented for the removal and the Government Subdelegation recalled that there was a complaint that had to clarify who was in charge of the cleaning and its payment.
Finally, as has happened in previous editions of the ‘Big Fucking Party’, after a few days and the media noise, members of the organization have chosen to leave the area clean of remains and which they transferred to containers from nearby municipalities.
The mayors of the area near the airport explained to La Tribuna this week that they did not know the reasons why the waste containers had been filled some days last week and who was behind the removal of the garbage in the airport area. The solution was found in organized work, without making noise, as happened when the macro-party was formed on December 31 and which arrived unexpectedly at the gates of the capital, eventually collapsing the A-41 on the last New Year’s Eve.
At first it was not known who had been responsible for collecting the 50 tons. Mayors close to the airport regarding the situation with the garbage, indicated that they did not know what had happened to the kilos of bags that were in several piles in the area where the party was held.
What they did explain is that a week ago, there were several nights where the garbage containers in their municipalities, the largest not reaching 400 residents, appeared full, something that is not normal, without directly pointing to the disappearance of the remains of the rave, because they claimed to not know the reasons why there was more garbage on those days. The issue is already clarified with the collection of garbage by the festival organizers and attendees.
