Shakira returned to Miami’s stages with his tour
Manuel Turizo, who recently announced an intimate show in Miami for this month, appeared with the Colombian singer to interpret its “empty cup” duet.
Lalejandro Sanz, a collaborator of Shakira on the theme “La Tortura”, also made his appearance in the show, like Ozuna, with whom the artist interpreted “monotony”, her collaboration of bachata.
Fans expressed their enthusiasm for the return of the interpreter. “My mom introduced her to me when I was little, so I started listening to her since childhood,” said an assistant to the WSVN channel.
Another Venezuelan follower commented: “I have been listening to Shakira since I was a child in my home in Venezuela. This is my first Shakira concert.”
The artist had generated expectation days before the event by publishing a video on her social networks announcing special collaborations.
“Miami is going to be incredible,” Shakira said in the audiovisual material, although he kept an additional surprise in reserve.
He also confirmed that the big surprise would take place during the second show, scheduled for Saturday night. “You can’t miss it,” he added in his message to the followers.
Attendees carried clothes inspired by various stages of Shakira’s artistic career, while social networks circulated speculations about possible additional surprise guests, including names such as Karol G and Lady Gaga.
Local authorities anticipated traffic delays near the stadium and recommended to attendees plan their arrival in advance.
The Hard Rock Stadium housed an intense weekend of events, since Post Malone had a presentation for Sunday, with a previous party planned in lot 15.
The tour “Women no longer cry World Tour” represents what Shakira has described as “the most ambitious tour of my entire career.” The Tour began in Brazil in February and has traveled South America before arriving in the United States and Canada.
During her passage through Mexico, the artist established a historical record by becoming the first woman to make seven shows with tickets exhausted at the Gnp Seguros Stadium in Mexico City, previously known as Forum Sol.
Billboard magazine recognized Shakira as number one among the 50 best Latin pop artists of all time.
In addition, he headed the Top Tours of Billboard for the first time, generating 32.9 million dollars with 282,000 tickets sold in February, becoming the first Latin solo solo woman to reach first place in this classification.
Laditions and cancellations mark the development of Shakira’s tour
The high demand led Shakira to add additional dates in the US stage of his tour. The artist scheduled a second presentation at the East Rutherford Metlife Stadium, New Jersey, for May 16, in addition to the additional show in Miami of June 7.
However, the tour also faced significant setbacks. Shakira canceled his program programmed in Washington DC as part of Worldpride, one of the largest LGBTQ+ festivals in the world, due to “complications with the previous show in Boston.”
“I am devastated that the shows were simply not possible this time,” said the 48 -year -old interpreter. “Due to the unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances that affected me and other artists in Boston, my full production of the tour cannot be transferred to Washington, DC in time for my scheduled presentation.”
The concert at the Boston Fenway Park was canceled shortly before Shakira took the stage on May 29, along with presentations by Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn scheduled for May 30.
According to CBS News, the cancellations were due to security problems with the stage, after Live Nation identified that “structural elements did not meet the standards” during a routine inspection prior to the show.
