Paramount+ Emilia Pérez premieres for Latin America

The film Emilia Pérez will arrive this week to one of the most recognized streaming content platforms worldwide.
This controversial film, directed by the Frenchman Jacques Audiard and starring actress Trans Karla Sofía Gascón, will be available in Paramount Plus from May 15.
“The film that everyone speaks of arrives at Paramount Plus. Everyone said, now it’s your turn. From May 15 you can see Emilia Pérez,” he wrote the platform on an Instagram post.
The plot focuses on a drug loss in Mexico, played by Gascón, who wants to change sex to modify his life.
To achieve this purpose, Manitas del Monte (Emilia Pérez), as the narco in production is called, hires a lawyer (Zoe Saldaña), with the aim of simulating his own death and undergoing sex change surgery.
The film production also has the actions of Adriana Paz, Selena Gomez and Édgar Ramírez.
For his role, Karla Gascón won multiple nominations and won different awards, including the collective award for the best female interpretation at the last Cannes Festival, as well as recognition in the Golden Globes, the Sag Awards and the Baftas.
