Rapper Chris Brown stopped in the United Kingdom for assaulting a producer with a bottle in a disco

The American rapper Chris Brown, a former boyfriend of Rihanna, was arrested today in Manchester (Great Britain) under suspicion of assaulting a musical producer in a London nightclub in 2023, according to British media.
The London police confirmed the arrest to the AFP agency, without identifying the singer. He said he had arrested “a 36 -year -old man (…) at a Manchester hotel shortly after 2:00 am on Thursday, May 15, under suspicion of serious aggression and injuries.”
The arrest “is related to an incident that occurred on February 19, 2023 in an establishment by Hanover Square”, a place located in the exclusive London district of Mayfair, police said.

According to Tabloid The Sun, Chris Brown is accused by the musical producer Abe Diaw to attack him that night at the Tape disco. He allegedly threw a bottle at his head and hit him while he was on the floor.
The singer, who began his career in the 2000s and has sold dozens of millions of records worldwide, had just arrived in the United Kingdom to start a tour. The singer plans to start a new world tour next month, with about ten shows planned in June and July in the United Kingdom.
According to The Sun, the arrest has occurred this morning after the Metropolitan Police was alerted by the same newspaper, since he asked them if there was an arrest warrant on the singer.
Chris Brown has faced numerous accusations of violence in the past, including being convicted of hitting his then Rihanna girlfriend before the 2009 Grammy Awards, forced the pop superse to miss the annual gala of the music industry.
