In this way, by studying the beginning of everything, it is possible to find the answers to these and other theories and unknowns.
A global celebration
More than a celebration, it presents aspects of creation in Adventist temples, especially for new generations. It is a date designed to provide moments of reflection on spirituality, the role of each person in the propagation of creation and the relevance of life in harmony with God.
Creation Saturday, this year will be celebrated on October 26. Thousands of Adventist temples around the world remember the story of how it all began, teach and highlight the need to bring the message of creation to everyone. They thus reaffirm their commitment to faith, community and caring for the planet.
Creation Saturday
A specially chosen day that, 15 years ago, honors and remembers the details thought out and executed by the Creator. They are moments to connect, reflect and understand more about the days of creation described in the Bible. See some reasons to celebrate Creation Saturday below:
- Connection with the Creator: By spending a day worshiping and reflecting on His work, it is possible to remember the importance of intimate communion with God.
- Appreciation of creation: In a world with environmental challenges, this day also encourages people to be responsible stewards of the resources God created.
- Spiritual renewal: Participating in worship, Bible studies, and community activities strengthens faith and promotes a sense of belonging.
- Inclusion and hospitality: The church offers a welcoming space for all to experience God’s message of hope and love.
- Education and inspiration: Talks, workshops and activities for children are part of the activities promoted during Creation Saturday. It is a way to inspire a new generation to value and respect God’s creation.
The earth as a witness
Planet Earth is one of the greatest witnesses of all creation. This is what the film by Adventist filmmaker Henry Stober, who spent four years filming around the world, shows. It presents a daily account of creation, from the darkness of the universe to the scenes of Moses and his son worshiping God on a holy Saturday.
Watch the movie in English, with Spanish subtitles, Creation: The Earth is a Witness (Creation: The earth is a witness | documentary).
