Roh Jeong Eui is a lonely outcast shrouded in misfortune and mystery in new drama “The Witch” – Soompi

Channel A’s upcoming drama “The Witch” has offered a deeper insight into Roh Jeong Eui’s character!

Based on the webtoon by “Moving” author Kang Full, “The Witch” is a mystery romance that follows the story of Mi Jung (Roh Jeong Eui), a woman known as the “witch” who was expelled from a village after that all the men who fell in love with her died, and Dong Jin (GOT7’s Jinyoung), a man who tries to rescue her from the mysterious pattern of death.

Roh Jeong Eui plays Mi Jung, a mysterious woman labeled a “witch” who has cut ties with the world around her. Since her childhood, she has been shadowed by death and misfortune, as all the men who fell in love with her have ended up injured or dead. Overwhelmed by this stigma, Mi Jung hides from the world.

The new images capture Mi Jung’s disturbing loneliness. Dressed in black and with a cap that almost covers her eyes, she gives off a defensive air that drives away anyone who approaches her. However, his melancholic gaze at the snowflakes reveals a longing to emerge from his isolation and reconnect with the world.

Director Kim Tae Kyun praised Roh Jeong Eui’s performance, highlighting her perfect synchronization with the character. The director commented, “When the casting meeting with Roh Jeong Eui was set up, it was as if Mi Jung herself had walked into the room. During the test shoot, she got so into the role that not only me but the entire crew exclaimed, ‘It’s Mi Jung!’ Up to that point he embodied the character (perfectly).

“The Witch” will premiere on February 15 at 9:10 pm KST after the end of “Check in Hanyang.” Stay tuned!
