The Ministry added that this procedure puts the interests of the United States’ European allies at stake.

The Ministry indicated that the choice of the US Administration to establish restrictions against the Russian energy sector as a whole and a series of large corporations, including personal sanctions against their leaders and against employees of the Russian Energy Ministry, “is a attempt to inflict at least some damage on the Russian economy, even at the cost of destabilizing world markets before the end of President Joe Biden’s inglorious term.”
“Of course, Washington’s hostile actions will not go unanswered and will be taken into account during the calculation of our foreign economic strategy,” the Ministry stated. “We will continue to execute large oil and gas extraction projects, as well as import substitution, the provision of oil-related services and the construction of nuclear power plants in third countries.”
The agency indicated that Russia has been and continues to be a crucial and reliable agent in the global fuel market, “despite the convulsions in the White House and the machinations of the Russophobic lobby in the West, which seeks to drag the world energy sector into the hybrid war, which the US has started against Russia.”
Furthermore, he emphasized that, amid the “failure of Washington’s bet on the strategic defeat of Moscow and the pressure of sanctions, which sought to undermine the Russian economy, which has not only survived, but continues to develop despite the pressure unprecedented external economic crisis, the efforts of the outgoing White House team are intended to complicate or obstruct any bilateral economic ties, including for American companies.”
The Foreign Ministry added that this procedure puts at stake the interests of the United States’ European allies, who must give up more expensive and unusual American resources, in addition to the interests of their own population, which is currently suffering from forest fires in California. Your perspective on the rise in fuel prices, which was previously relevant, may be totally inconsiderate.
“Therefore, the next president, who cannot remove the aforementioned sanctions without congressional approval, will inherit scorched earth, both literally and figuratively,” he added.
