Selena Gomez doesn’t like to refer to Benny Blanco as her fiance.
The 32 -year -old singer and actress promised the record producer, 37, in December 2024 after more than a year of courtship, but is “as strange” to refer to him as the man he is going to marry.
During the last episode of the Podcast ‘Table Manners’, Jessie and Lennie Ware told the presenters: “Calling my fiance is very strange. I only say my partner or Benny. But the other day I surprised myself saying: ‘Well, my boyfriend …’, but it is not exactly because of what we are here.”
During the joint interview, Benny – whose real name is Benjamin Joseph Levin – described the term as the “worst word of the world” often refers to Selena simply as his wife.
When asked who “carries the pants” in the relationship, Selena said that the balance of power is “quite equitable”, but admitted that she “needs a little more” than him.
He said: “Both, I think we are quite matched. I mean, yes, I probably need a little more …”.
Meanwhile, Benny admitted that he was “really ready” to settle in life and had a list of what he wanted in a couple, and the person who met all those requirements turned out to be Selena.
He pointed out: “If you are prepared – and you have to really be – to find the person with whom you want to spend the rest of your life. You have to cut with all the little things here, little things there, someone you think you are dating here. You cut it, you make a list of all the things you want in a couple that you can take home to your mother or your father, whatever it is affectionate, compassionate, someone who did anything, gave me the same.
The singer of ‘Lose You to Love Me’ -which jumped to fame being a teenager in Disney Channel with the leading role of ‘The wizards of Wverly Place’ but who is currently better known for starring in ‘Only Murders in the Building’- also explained that the “greatest fulfillment” he could receive in life would be about how he works hard and how he treats others.
He said: “I think everyone … I love it, and I have an empathy that in a way I could be too deep and I worry a lot about people. The greatest fulfill I could receive is my work ethics and how I deal with others is very important for me.”
