In an emotional reunion in Charlotte, USA, Shakira and Alejandro Sanz unleashed madness among their followers by announcing “Kesame”, their new single together after two decades.
The Madrid singer then surprised thousands of fans by revealing that the ballad will see the light on May 23, marking a milestone in the trajectory of this iconic duo.
“Kiss me” is emerging as an intimate piece in which the voices of both artists intertwine to exalt the beauty of the present with that special person. In one of the most emotional fragments that Sanz shared in his networks, the verse resonates: “I tell you the truth, if life is beautiful and she are so similar …”, while the images of the essays and the live performance anticipate an atmosphere full of emotion.
This launch will be part of Alejandro Sanz’s new album, entitled ‘And now what?’, And it will serve as an entree for a series of concerts. The union with Shakira adds a special nuance to the project, reinforcing an artistic link that began almost twenty years ago.
The first collaboration of the Colombian and the Spanish took place in 2005 with “La Tortura”, an overwhelming success that became an emblem of Latin music. The following year, forces rejoiced in “I thank you, but no”, included in ‘The Train of Moments’, of Sanz.
During the concert in Charlotte, the public could not contain the emotion when listening to “the torture” after many years, at which time the complicity between Shakira and Sanz became evident in each note, remembering why that original encounter so deeply calmed.
After passing through the stage, both interpreters overflowed in mutual compliments in their official profiles. Shakira wrote: “Alejandro Sanz, how they cheered you last night! They can spend a thousand years, but what happens to us on stage will remain unique.” For his part, Sanz responded with tenderness: “Not even with all the coffee in Colombia I take off your aroma.”
“Kiss me” will transmit a delicate rhythm that reveals the strength of its artistic companionship and, according to the advanced fragment, its letter underlines the urgency of clinging to the shared time and not allowing destiny to decide silently for us.
With the output of ‘And now what?’ And the tour that will give life, Alejandro Sanz promises to provide unforgettable moments both in his land and in every corner of the world, accompanied in this new theme for the complicity of one of the most influential artists of the current scenario.
