This year, the theme of the gala is unequivocal: it is inspired by the Annual Fashion Exhibition of the MET, called Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, about the black dandis and the elegant style of the African diaspora. The “ambassadors” are about thirty black figures that stand out in cinema, music or sports.
The hosts are the singer Pharrell Williams, the Formula One corridor Lewis Hamilton, the actor Colman Domingo, the rapper at $ Ap Rocky and the basketball player LeBron James. To them is added an additional committee of another 26 stars, such as Simone Biles, Usher, Ayo Edebiri, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Spike Lee.
