Shakira cancels new shows due to logistics problems

The Colombian singer -songwriter Shakira was forced to suspend two additional presentations of her successful tour “Women no longer cry World Tour”, specifically the concerts programmed in Boston and Washington DC, due to logistic complications outside their control.
With these new cancellations, six shows suspended from the beginning of this eighth world stadiums of La Barranquillerawhich began on February 11, 2025 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The tour, announced during his participation in Coachella 2024 with Bizarrap, was promoted by the artist as “the most extensive of her career.”
Despite these setbacks, the Tour continues to be an unprecedented commercial phenomenon. With more than two million tickets sold in just 66 scheduled shows, the tour was positioned as a world number one collection according to Billboard in February 2025. Success has been such that it establishes a historical record with 11 non -consecutive dates in the GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City, congregating approximately 650 thousand people.
“Nothing more painful for an artist than having to cancel two stadium concerts with exhausted tickets,” Shakira said on social networks, thanking his fans for unconditional support.
The tour, which promotes its twelfth album “Women no longer cry” (2024), has its final date announced for November 16, 2025 in Lima, Peru.
