The Live Nation producer confirmed the cancellation through a brief statement, citing “unforeseen circumstances” as the reason behind the sudden change. The text also indicated that the concert on Friday, May 30, which would have Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn, has also been canceled.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the presentations of Shakira, Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn, originally scheduled for May 29 and 30, respectively, in the Fenway Park, have been canceled. Refunds will be made at the point of purchase. Sorry for discomfort,” said Live Nation.
So far, no more details have been offered about the causes of cancellation.
