Shakira faces an injured tour and reaches Miami

The world tour Women no longer cry It has been for Shakira a trip full of obstacles. Cancellations, logistics problems, technical inconveniences and even health episodes have marked a tour in which each concert seems to become a resistance test. However, this Friday and Saturday, the Colombian singer meets her audience in Miami, the city where she resides since 2023, and one of the most anticipated stages of her tour.
The Hard Rock Stadium will be the epicenter of these new stops, even with tickets available in resale. But behind this expected performance a chain of stumbling blocks is hidden that has tested both the artist and her team.
Chaos in the US: from Boston to Washington
The last chapter of these setbacks was written just a few days ago. The concert scheduled for May 31 in Washington was canceled because the production failed to arrive on time from Boston, where a scheduled performance was also suspended for 29. The artist, visibly affected, shared a statement in which she deeply regretted not being able to be with her followers of the US capital.
The Fenway Park stadium, headquarters of the concert in Boston, alluded to “unforeseen circumstances” without major explanations, while the promoter Live Nation was more precise and attributed the cancellation to “structural elements that did not comply with security standards.”
As if that were not enough, the New Jersey Health Department began an investigation after a possible measles outbreak at the Shakira concert in the Metlife Stadium, which added more pressure to the already complicated panorama of the tour.
Latin America was not easy either
The tour of Latin America has not been simple either. In the Dominican Republic, his only date scheduled for April 2 was suspended by “operational problems outside the artist”, without further details. In Chile, two concerts planned in March were canceled for irregularities in the field of the National Stadium, which represented a physical risk for the team and the public. The presentations were relocated and finally carried out in April, with an additional date as compensation.
In Colombia, his native country, the show planned for February 24 in Medellín was also interrupted. The Structure Structure of the stage suffered damage during assembly, which forced to postpone the action for safety reasons.
And in Peru, the February 16 concert had to be canceled due to abdominal pains of the singer, who was hospitalized the night before. Fortunately, he was able to resume the tour the next day, and the canceled date was rescheduled for November.
Reprogramming from the beginning
The tour already began with modifications: the dates originally planned between November and December 2024 in the United States and Canada were postponed until 2025 due to the high demand for tickets and the decision to change the headquarters to accommodate more public.
Now, with all these challenges behind, Shakira faces his next challenge at home. The actions in Miami not only represent a return to the stage, but also an opportunity to reconnect with its audience, in a city that has received it as its own.
The Barranquillera, who has made resilience a personal brand, sing again in front of thousands with the hope that, at least this time, everything will come out as planned.
