Tuxpan, Ver., June 18, 2025.- The director of the prison of Tuxpan, Antonio Huesca Figueroa, was shot dead on Tuesday while he was aboard his car in the center of this municipality in the north of the state, which generated the mobilization of security forces.

The facts, according to versions, were presented on Garizurieta Street, between the streets 2 de Abril and Fausto Vega, when their executors allegedly reached him and then operated their firearms against him.

Despite the operation that was mounted to find those responsible for these facts so far it is unknown if they could be located.

In the protection of the area, various security corporations participated, including the National Guard, Navy and Public Security of the State, in addition to experts from the State Attorney General (FGE) E, to carry out the corresponding investigations.

According to social networks versions, the aforementioned official had already been previously threatened last March, through a canvas that was placed in one of the most transitted areas of the city.
