The superstar Shakira began their tour “Women no longer cry World Tour” through North America with a sold out at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina and shared stages with two special guests: Alejandro Sanz and Wyclef Jean, unleashing the euphoria among thousands of fans.
Shakira promised great surprises for the tour including the appearance of Wyclef Jean in Charlotte and Boston, to touch his emblematic Hips Don’t Lie.
The tour will reach the cities of Montreal, Detroit, Boston, Orlando, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and more. Due to the great demand, two dates were recently added on New Jersey (Metlife Stadium) and in Miami (Hard Rock Stadium). The Tour will end on June 30 in San Francisco, California.
Shakira, who was appointed by Billboard as the best Latin artist of all time, arrives in the United States after breaking-récords with “women no longer cry World Tour” in Latin America.
The international tour began on Tuesday, February 11 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at the Nilton Santos stadium and continued with completely exhausted shows in Barranquilla, Colombia; Buenos Aires, Argentina, Guadalajara, Mexico.
The highlight of “Women no longer cry World Tour” by Latin America: 25 stadium presentations; 1.3 million attendees; 7 shows totally exhausted in Mexico City, being the first artist to achieve this event in this stadium.
After finishing the tour of North America, Shakira will return to Mexico for 13 other presentations in the region, added recently due to the overwhelming demand of fans.
