However, this Saturday, the Barranquillera opted for a more local and personal strategy to connect with the Bostonian public.
Through a video posted on his Instagram account, Shakira went directly to David Ortiz, affectionately known as “Big Papi” for the fanatic of the Red Sox. With a contagious smile, Shakira launched her peculiar invitation: “Hello daddy. It’s me, Shakira. Hey, I’m going to take my tour to Fenway Park on May 29 in Boston. So I want to see you there. I have heard you know how to dance. So show it.”
“What’s up, Shakira? We are waiting for you here this May 29 in Fenway Park. As you can see, he is already heating,” said Ortiz, referring to the summer climate while the camera focused the sunny stands of the stadium. Then, the former player surprised everyone at the beginning to dance and chant the “crazy” chorus, one of Shakira’s successes. With a smile, Ortiz concluded his message saying: “I see you here in Fenway. I love you, Shakira.”
