Shakira monopolized the looks on the blue carpet of the Met Gala 2025, in what was his second consecutive participation in the annual event of the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
This time, the artist opted for a pink design with transparencies, signed by designer Prabal Gurung, with whom she aligned with the theme of the gala: “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, under the dress code “Tailored for You”.
The garment, defined by experts as a mixture between drama and romanticism, included a long structured flow, a strapless neckline and a delicate transparency game that outlined the singer’s silhouette.
Unlike its previous look – Carolina Herrera red dress in 2024 – this design stands out for its vibrant pink tone and unusual stylization in Shakira’s recent trajectory.
Known for his fashion choices in dark tones, sequins or styles boho inspired by his first years of career, Shakira surprised to choose Rosa Barbie as central color of his outfit.
The dress was complemented with transparent gloves and a hairstyle that allowed to appreciate in detail the discovered shoulders of the design.
The style chosen by the Colombian seems to respond to a new chapter in her public narrative: a renewed image, more sophisticated, but that retains the playful and powerful essence that has defined her artistic career.
Together with Shakira, other Latin figures also stood out on Fashion Night, such as Bad Bunny and Zoe Saldaña, as well as the possible debut of weight weight and Kenya, according to previous reports.
