New York, May 15 (EFE) .- Shakira became an apotheosic wolf this Thursday at his New Jersey concert (USA), where he remembered his immigration story in the country, sent a message of female empowerment and ended up dancing between tickets while his successes enjoyed.
“At age 19 I moved to the US, just like many of you, from another country and in search of a better future,” said the star of Barranquilla by introducing one of his successes, ‘Objection (Tango)’, who wrote “when he barely spoke the language” and described as “the song of an immigrant.”
The second stop of the “Women no longer cry” tour in the US was in the largest enclosure in the New York area, the Metlife stadium (about 82,000 seats) of New Jersey, but was marked by a train strike that, although it did not stop its fans legion, it did delay the start of the ‘show’, an hour and a half.
However, once Shakira went into action, it was unstoppable: first with an ode to “Las Latinas”, for whom he screened his flags on huge screens located in the back of the stage, and then with a potpourri of his most recent, danceable and reguetoneros songs, as ‘I congratulate you’ or ‘TQG’.
Meanwhile, the artist took the opportunity to thank those present to have supported her in her “vulnerable” moments, sympathized with “single women” and “single mothers”, and advised the pairing to give priority to “self -love”, although he did not exceed words.
Above all, Shakira made a time trip towards her “girl”, who guided her in these “three last three years that have not been easy,” he said, and his most ethnic and rocker origins arrived, showing up even in her costume changes, since the cameras accompanied her to the dressing room.
And it is that the audiovisual component of the screens was an essential part of the concert, guided by a 3D character like the singer and a protective wolf that took care of her puppies, then represented with photos of her children Milan and Sasha, who accompany her in ‘acrostic’.
Shakira, who as soon as he was with a metal bar as the belly dance was made or the guitar was hung around the neck, interpreted classics such as ‘Don’t Bother’, ‘Underneath Your Clothes’, ‘single’ or ‘bare feet, white dreams’.
And, if at the beginning of the week, in Charlotte (North Carolina), Shakira took Alejandro Sanz and Wyclef Jean as guests, this time he surprised when calling Ozuna, with whom he sang ‘monotony’.
But more surprising was the farewell, with the groundbreaking ‘Bzrp Music Sessions, vol. 53’ and the expected ‘Loba’, which sang in English, with a stimulating staging: a huge sculpture of this animal that launched laser rays through the eyes, although the look of the artist burned even more.
Encouraging the public to howl in each choir, Shakira went down to the public’s ring, which welcomed her phone in hand, and her famous polishes to her ex -partner, Gerard Piqué, were heard as roar: “Because a wolf like me is not for guys like you” and “I was great and that’s why you are with an equal one as you.”
And then, as a final climax, he shared the fruits of his work, that of “Women no longer cry, women invoice”, like an invaluable gift: a rain of tickets that at first glance looked like a dollar, but carried their face, and that many rushed to catch in the air. EFE
