Shakira postpon her concert in Los Angeles for protests against ICE raids

Los Angeles. Shakira postponed her concert at the Sofi stadium in Los Angelesoriginally scheduled for June 20, and reprogrammed it for August 4.
The decision is due to the ongoing manifestations against the massive migration raids led by the Immigration and Customs Control Service (ICE)as announced in the X account of the Tour named ‘Women no longer cry’.
In the same statement, the organizers of the event indicated that, with the reprogramming of the concert, which had a total sale of its tickets, there is the possibility of announcing a second date.
This postponement adds to the multiple cancellations and reprogramming of the Colombian concerts, the most recent, took place on May 31 in Washington, after the production of the Shakira tour could not be transported in time from the city of Bostonwhere another concert scheduled for May 29 had been canceled.
The tour had already begun with a bad foot months before, since the dates programmed between November and December 2024 in the United States and Canada had to be rescheduled by 2025 for the high demand for tickets and the organizers’ decision to change the headquarters of the concerts.
In an interview published by the BBC this Friday, the singer expressed her discontent with the country’s immigration policy, and said that being immigrant in the US “means living with constant fear,” Shakira said.
The Colombian also called for unity: “We have to raise their voice and make it very clear that a country can change their immigration policies, but the treatment of all people must always be human,” he told the environment.
