Shakira postpone concert in Los Angeles for demonstrations against migratory raids

The Colombian singer Shakira rescheduled her concert at the Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles, originally scheduled for June 20, transferring it to August 4 due to the ongoing demonstrations against the massive migration raids led by the Immigration and Customs Control Service (ICE).
The decision was officially announced in the Tour’s account “Women no longer cry.” The organizers of the event, which registered a total sale of tickets, indicated that with the reprogramming there is the possibility of announcing a second date in the same city.
This postponement adds to multiple cancellations and reprogramming that have affected the tour of the Barranquillera artist. The most recent occurred on May 31 in Washington, when production could not be transported on time from Boston, where another concert scheduled for May 29 was also canceled.
In an interview published by the BBC, Shakira expressed his dissatisfaction with American immigration policy, ensuring that he is currently immigrant in the United States “means living with constant fear.” The Colombian also called for unity: “We have to raise their voice and make it very clear that a country can change their migratory policies, but the treatment of all people must always be human.”
The tour had begun with difficulties since the dates programmed between November and December 2024 had to be reprogrammed by 2025 due to high demand and changes of venues.
