Shakira postponed concert in Los Angeles for migratory raids

On June 20, the city of Los Angeles would receive Shakira’s visit on the occasion of his tour “Women no longer cry World Tour”; However, his presentation was postponed.

Since last week, the Immigration and Customs Control Service (ICE) has deported dozens of migrants in several cities in the United States, such as Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Washington and Philadelphia.

Artists such as Leonardo Aguilar and Shakira have had to cancel or postpone their concerts in Los Angeles due to the protests of migrants against ICE’s raids.

According to Jacqueline Martínez, better known as Chamonic, Shakira, 48, and his team decided to postpone his event at the Sofi Stadium.

“Shakira changes his concert in Los Angeles CA, the reason is for everything we are going through at this time,” he said in the publication.

The concert was scheduled to be held on June 20 at the Sofi Stadium located in Inglewood, California, however, it was postponed for August 4 of the same year.

In Ticketmaster, the date was already updated and reported that tickets bought for the date of June will be in force for August.

“We have worked with the organizers of the event to reage your event and be sure that you will still have the possibility of attending. Your tickets are still valid for the new date,” reads the message that fans who had bought tickets received.

This is the second time that the Colombian is forced to reprogram her passage through Los Angeles as part of Women no longer cry World Tour.

Initially, the singer would have her concert in November 2024 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, but high demand led to transfer the event as of June 20, 2025 in the Sofi Stadium, after cancellation of all dates of 2024 in order to adjust the production and offer more stadium dates.

Additionally, at the beginning of June he had to cancel his dates in Boston and Washington due to logistics problems.
