From the beginning, Miley Cyrus had a clear vision of what her next film would be, long before the project came to the hands of Xyz Filmswith whom he collaborated in the realization of the visual album ‘Something Beautiful’.
“For us, the vision was very defined”he explained Nate Bolotin, XYZ co -founder, in an interview with Variety. “We definitely wanted to feel cinematographic – not in the traditional sense of a video clip, or as a simple complementary piece to an album – but as a work that could be sustained by itself.”
The movie, titled ‘Subject Beautiful by Miley Cyrus’accompanies the ninth studio album of the artistlaunched on May 30 and that bears the same name. Its world premiere will take place on June 6 at the Tribeca Film Festival.
For Xyz Films, recognized for his career in the audiovisual field, this collaboration represents an opportunity to explore New bordersentering by First time in the world of music.
“We want to position ourselves as a reference company in this type of projects”Bolotin added. “We are excited to collaborate with multidisciplinary artists, especially those with a consolidated musical career who seek to bring their creative expression to another level. Cyrus, together with the directors Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walterdeveloped a detailed storyboard much before starting filming. Most of the filming was carried out in the studies Los Angeles Paramount, With some additional scenes recorded in New York. Unlike other productions, from the early stages the chiefs of choreography and costumes were incorporated, and filming was completed in a period of three weeks.

The album ‘Subthing Beautiful’
On May 30, Miley Cyrus launched ‘Submithing Beautiful’his ninth study album, composed of 13 songs that mark the most experimental project of his career to date. With this work, the artist reaffirms her intention to offer “Something beautiful”overcoming both musical and emotional expectations.
