“Since I said I hate Taylor Swift, it is no longer fashionable”: a new onslaught of Donald Trump against the singer

Donald Trump has said that Taylor Swift is no longer fashionable.

“Has anyone realized that, since I said ‘I hate Taylor Swift’, he is no longer in fashion?” Wrote the president of the United States on his Truth Social platform on Friday morning.

The publication occurred in the midst of others related to the president’s trip to the Middle East and his disappointment with the United States Supreme Court for his hearing on Thursday over citizenship by birth.

It was not clear immediately why the president shared his opinion on the singer, but both have crashed on multiple occasions in the last seven years.

In 2018, after not having made real political statements in the past, Swift supported the Democratic candidates Phil Bredesen and Jim Cooper in the 2018 intermediate elections in the United States, in their native state of Tennessee. Subsequently, Trump said Swift’s music liked little and that she didn’t know anything about Senator Marsha Blackburn, against whom Breezen was running.

During the 2024 presidential campaign, as other stars showed their support, the pressure for Swift to make its position clear increased.

Trump then published in Truth Social, stating that he had done more for the music industry than former president Joe Biden during his first term and that “in no way she could support Joe Biden the corrupt.”

After his support for Harris, Trump said: «He was not a fan of Taylor Swift … but he is a very liberal person. It seems that it always supports a Democrat. And will probably pay a market price ».
