Singer Chris Brown was arrested in England for alleged aggression

The American singer of R&B, Chris Brown, who was a couple of Rihanna, was arrested Thursday in the English city of Manchester for alleged aggression to a musical producer in a London nightclub, in 2023, British media reported.

The London police confirmed to the AFP agency, without appointing the singer, who arrested “to a 36 -year -old man at a Manchester hotel shortly after 02h00 (01h00 GMT) on Thursday, suspected of causing serious injuries ” during “An incident occurred on February 19, 2023 in a place ”in London.

According to Tabloid The Sun, Chris Brown was accused by the music producer Abe Diaw of having attacked him that night at the Tape disco, in Hanover Square, a place located in the exclusive Mayfair neighborhood, in downtown London.

One of the American’s friends published in an Instagram story a request for liberation, along with a common nickname of the artist: “Liberate my friend #brezy”

The singer, who began his career in the 2000s and has sold dozens of millions of records worldwide, was then touring in the United Kingdom.

The singer has been the subject of numerous accusations for violent acts in the past, being convicted of having hit Rihanna, who was then his girlfriend, before the 2009 Grammy Awards.

“Chris tried to push her out of the car, opening the door and throwing it. She had the seat belt, so that did not work. Then he struck him in the eye. He continued hitting her and his mouth was filled with blood, ”said the journalist Sharon Carpenter for a documentary that tells the artist’s life.

That incident forced the singer, superstar of pop, to absent from the annual gala of the music industry.

The documentary “Chris Brown: A History of Violence”, broadcast on October 27, 2024, on the Warner Bros. research channel, tracks the complaints filed against the American R&B singer over the years over the years.

Faced with this, at the beginning of 2025, the singer filed a claim of 500 million dollars against Warner Bros, Discovery and other companies because they considered a “defamatory documentary” on his person.

Brown’s lawyers alleged in the lawsuit that their client is accused in the documentary “atrocious acts, including sexual aggression ” and a manipulation of evidence was made that were discredited in the courts and discarded by unfounded character.

Chris Brown plans to start next month a new world tour, with about ten concerts scheduled in June and July in the United Kingdom.
