If conditions align, North Florida could see a light dusting of snow overnight Monday, January 19 through Tuesday, January 20, with amounts ranging from a light dusting to an inch in some areas.
Although this is not confirmed, it is considered a real possibility due to the extreme temperature change, as the extreme cold comes from a strong Arctic front that is moving south from the north.
Although states like Georgia and Alabama will receive the full impact of polar air (temperatures of -5 degrees with lower wind chill expected), Florida will only experience a sharp drop in temperatures. However, that cold air could be enough to allow snow to fall in northern parts of the state.
