The case of the roosters stolen in Valladolid has been the talk of X -formerly Twitter- in recent days. A dozen members of a family recorded several videos denouncing the theft of these birds and they soon went viral on the Internet. In the images, all kinds of ‘swearing’ and threats could be heard to demand that the thieves appear with the animals. Some even hesitated to tell them that they would return the roosters.
Finally, and as the newspaper ‘El Norte de Castilla’ has learned, the animals have appeared in Soria thanks to the intervention of the Civil Guard. Of course, no further information about the operation has been released and it has not even been confirmed whether these roosters were used in illegal fights, as had been speculated on social networks in recent hours.
The videos recorded by this family are located in the Las Flores neighborhood of Valladolid, where in recent years there have been interventions by the National Police to dismantle this type of clandestine networks. One of the last times occurred in March 2022, when the agents broke into a warehouse where they found the cages and a ring for the confrontations. 37 roosters and four chickens were rescued. However, it has not been confirmed for now that these roosters were part of an illegal fighting network.
The content of the videos broadcast has given rise to many memes on What seemed like just another humorous video soon became a threat: “Whoever it was will have to leave Valladolid for life.”
But the story did not stop there, because after that first video went viral, a second video spread in which many of the same protagonists repeated the sequence without kind words.
The story of the roosters got out of hand when the authors of the videos read a comment on X that said that they were going to return the birds. They believed it and after a few days they reappeared on social networks denouncing that “a fake account” had laughed at them. “We have waited two days and it seems that it is a lie,” they protested indignantly. From there, and for almost two minutes, the protagonists of this story begin a string of insults aimed at “the dead of the dead” of the perpetrators of the robbery.
