Spiritual Exercises for youth leaders of the ESEJOVEN Network – Jesuits | Conference of Jesuit Provincials of Latin America and the Caribbean

Between September and November, the Jesuit Youth Network of Peru “ESEJOVEN” carried out three rounds of Spiritual Exercises in Arequipa (September 13 to 15), Chiclayo and Lima (November 22 to 23), thanks to the Pedro Claver Project.

These days brought together 51 young leaders from various regions of the country, giving them a transformative experience of encountering God and themselves. Each participant strengthened their spiritual and pastoral commitment, making significant progress in their formation and renewing their desire to serve their communities, thus responding to the call to be ‘more’ to others.

This project, supported by Jesuits, lay people and with the financial support of the CPAL, reaffirms the commitment of ESEJOVEN to the creation of spaces for spiritual formation for young people throughout the country. The results obtained not only exceeded initial expectations, but also inspired participants to replicate these experiences in their own contexts. With this positive impact, the National Network takes on the challenge of seeking new strategies and resources to expand this initiative to more regions, deeply thanking the CPAL for its key support in making this achievement possible.
